Our group goal for this was supposed to be 5:50-6:00 but we started out waaaayyyy faster than that and relaxed our way back to pace. My legs were tired, as this was the first workout I have done in three months and wasn't in shape even then. My stomach was also angry about the pizza I had six hours before this. In the heat, I decided I didn't really care enough about this tempo to make it hurt and allowed myself to drop off Grogan and Carter. I hate doing that, but I still managed to get in what I wanted today, 4 miles ~5:50 pace with nothing going seriously wrong. My legs felt terrible on the cooldown and I'm sure I'll be feeling it tomorrow.
