road trip day #4: still in vermont

Running thru this rainy terrain, I was reminded of the countryside of Germany. This place really was reminiscent of my recent travels.
When I see Van Gogh's landscapes, I think they're over-exaggerated; however, then I came here and realized that such scenery really does exist - he's just trying to re-create the awe one feels upon looking at these landscapes the only way he knows how: with creativity.
I passed these farms, but they were so different. The baby goats had all the grass they wanted on this hill, and a litter stream - food and water, what else could you want. And these were happy cows - not hundreds all squished into this little barn - no these cows were just like 5 to a farm, a big field for 'em. Black and white cows grazing in a big open pasture - this is a scene from a story book!
Then I saw a polo club...well this is different.
anyway, i love a place with history. i love a place that's inspiring. and i love a place like this!
I soon came to realize that it actually wasn't so bizare here to keep a farm animal in your back yard. In fact, I saw several such houses, the strangest being goats, or perhaps hens.
It was also not abnormal to keep a large veggie garden net to your little plot of land growing a certain produce of your choice.
