Three steps into this run I knew it was going to be a good one. I wasn't sure exactly what run I was going to do but I knew I was behind in distance for the week. I wound up running to the middle school track and doing threshold miles. Before the start of the last two I checked my heart rate, which was at exactly 120 bpm both times. Anyway, I chose 6:20, 6:10, and 6:00 for my goal paces. I ran 6:13, 6:05, and 5:55. I had listened to some Disturbed to get myself pumped up for this one and it definitely helped me keep going. I just felt like there was no way I could fail to hit the goal paces I'd set, but I was pretty happy to pull the miles off the way I did.
