Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Today was a beautiful day. I'd been in kinda a bad mood for awhile like a funk type deal and usually a good hard effort helps me get out of that so at work today I toyed with the idea of running this 10 miler pretty hard. I'd gone fairly easy the last couple days so I figured I was up for it.
When I started out though I wasn't really feeling like pushing. I just kinda ran what came up through three miles. But when I hit my pee spot I knew this was gonna be a barn burner good run. From there I started pushing just a bit. I kinda caught a cramp around mile 6 or 7 and had to slow a bit and at a couple points I thought about calling it off and jogging it in but I didn't.
Pushed hard the last mile and ran pretty close to goal 5k pace which is also what I want to run at the TT in a week and a half. This was an awesome run. I'm really pumped at the shape I'm in right now.
This will be probably the last "tempo" effort of the summer since we have camp and workouts starting next week. I was awesome to finish like this though. I have confidence that I'm where I need to be.
