i'm back: finally a run! coach potato, as william says "jo-jo-co-co", whatever you wanna call it, doesn't work for me

August 12, 2011 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 71, bright moom

Comments:
3 days without running and i've been going out of my mind. being active is great, but it doesn't substitute for real exercise/running. and then today, while i love long car-rides of day-dreaming bliss, i was going nuts as the barely-inching forward traffic and the sun set teased me about the "no running in the dark" rule. when i finally got home at 8:30, my dad (thankfully!) bent the rules for me, but restricted me to just my neighborhood (ie no crescent trail): i nearly just went on the trail anyway, but my brothers were going out to pick up dinner and if on the way home the caught me coming from the trail, well, lets just say there'd be no more night runs for me.
was in the mood for hills today. and running faster. maybe i was just getting some anger out? (and probably some cooped up anxiety). Either way, it was a good run, but not quite satisfying and mind-clearing the way the crescent trail at noon is, and 28min also felt very short, but wasn't gunna push my luck with my dad.
my knee all of a sudden isn't bothering me at all anymore. glad i payed attention to it even if it was just a week of soreness/tendon pulling - i'd rather overreact then get injured.
also payed attention to form, mostly because my right neck muscle started bothering me so i realized i was too tense. but soon after relaxing, my left neck muscle started bothering me :p after some fluctuation, i managed to find a balance.
well, at least i got to run. feel much better now and maybe i can now sleep tonight.

(not entirely sure how many miles i ran, but it was between 3 and 4 miles)
