Comments:
So-so run today. Massaged and stretched out both calves + some achilles rub beforehand, but they were still stiff on this early AM run. The left one was extra bitchy: stiff at the very distal/lateral base for the first ten minutes, then it came back around 15min in. Stopped to stretch and re-tie my shoe. Ghee.
Pretty OK after that, though a couple times it felt like my actual mid-substance tendon on the L was tight, but that sensation only lasted a few strides. Ghee.
Beyond that, I felt good. Cool, crisp morning on the RF loop. Did a modified campus loop (in on the bike trail instead of Hell's) and did not do my usual loop, in favor of cutting it short to home.
I hope this soreness is just a byproduct of the heavy landscaping work and not a sign that my legs are rejecting this modest training load.
