Oatlands!

I'm quite happy about this race! Good dinner and breakfast this morning, and got a good sleep last night so prepared well overall. Wasnt too nervous coming into it which was nice. Warmup, stretch, drills etc. First mile was fast but nothing unmanageable. I think this was actually the first run all summer/fall that I didnt think about pace at all because I was with some pack the whole time. It was also so much fun passing people. 2nd mile was felt good as well, kept passing people and whatnotl. I guess the only trouble was with THE hill, shot down momentum completely, but regained and finished somewhat strong. Staggering too much at the end, need to eat something inbetween breakfast and racing, good to note for next time. I think this was the first time I've been able to actually race, and enjoyed it. I think future plans for racing will be run to feel, not for calculated pace. Calves are quite shot, but foot feels somewhat decent for just racing. And I dont think i've ever been this hungry before haha Getting even more excited for this season, everyone raced incrediblely and its so so exciting!!! holy cow I'm rambling.
