The first set of milers

Workout today was a session of mile repeats. Our first interval session of the season. Feeling pretty congested and tired. I know that a toll is being taken on my recovery time. Still gave the workout a go. It was raining pretty good on the warmup. We ran on a grass loop on Fairhill. Pretty much just a straight out and back, the first half being up and the second coming back down. The footing was pretty rough in places especially the turn around. All in all not a bad workout though.
Before the workout Coach instructed me to run intervals 1,3,5 with Ethan, Steel, and David and intervals 2 and 4 on my own cranking a bit with the possibility of adding a 6th at the end. This worked until after the 3rd rep at which point she turned me loose. There was still a gtd possibility of a 6th but I nixed that at the end. No need to push it when I'm definitely not recovering like normal. I slightly regret not doing the 6th. I feel like I would have been able to handle it. But hindsight is 20/20 and if I make Nats none of this will matter.
