Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Very nice
Comments:
2 x 3mile with 3:00 rest split tempo on MLK again. Goal pace 6:25 out, averaged about 6:23. Had a 3:17 800 split from 2-2.5 but brought it in in 3:06. Was hoping for a negative split but I guess that wasn't happening. I have yet to negative split a tempo. Slowed some on the way back but didn't bonk like last time so it looks like things are turning around. Had MJ with me for a little under two miles of the way back, at which point I told him to go and he did. Over to the track for 6 x 200 with 200 jog. Did these in (37,38,34(with Jim!),39,36,30) Quick on the last one because I wanted to open up a little. Asked Coach Barnes if it was okay if I blew out the tubes on the last one and he said, "It's up to you. Merry Christmas." Definitely didn't go all out, but it was quick and controlled which felt really good.
Injury report: normally sore sesamoid area was good on this run with tape. Nice because it means I can keep training as usual. Everything else (knee, ankle, etc.) was just peachy.
Lift: Week 3 day 2. My first time doing the day 2 lift this cycle and it's a fun one.
