Jog to BK, stretch etc. Was excited for something hard, wasnt feeling the greatest to begin with, but was excited nonetheless. First 5 pickups alone (first 3:07, then 2,3,4,5 more in the 3:15 range, last in 3:!2). Knew today wouldnt be incredibley fast or turnover worhty because of the week crosstraining, but wanted to get to the point where I didn't want to do anohter pickup, and got there on the last one then got thru. Probably best workout mentally this season (even though turnover isnt there yet), felt really in tune with everything, and never listened to mean voices to slow down. I think having the team around really helped, even though I wasnt running with anyone, just like seeing people on the trail, seeing the guys pass and seeing other go up the hill was amazing. Had the option of doing last pickup on pavement, but wanted to finish what I'd set out to do. Exhausted by the end, run back was slower than a slog with Anthony. All in all, very satisfied with the workout and leaf (count is at 13). Quads are shot more than before and feet a bit more messed up, but nothing an ice bath and tape cant fix! Need to get back into food rhythym, this weekend uberly messed it up. Also confessed my 3rd grade clover robbery...my baaaad.
