MLK split tempo:321

October 12, 2011 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Still rainy today. Also later in the day got kinda tired from waking up early. Took a little nap right before the workout in the locker room. Had a split tempo 3-2-1, which we usually do around now. Paces were similar too wanted around 5:40. Ankle was still a little tender, but didnt wrap it, just went out.

Warmed up over to MLK at 4, drills and bathroom breaks. Our group ended up being me John E and Corey. Went through a little slow, picked it up, then my legs felt real heavy and slow in the 3rd mile. Just not fresh. On the way back, had a good first mile, then the second was terrible. Wasnt feeling it at all slowed down, but it still felt like tempo pace... IDK what was up it was weird. Just one of those days. Felt better on the one. HR was like 160 after, kinda low. I want to run and race on race day though, not on the tempos. (5:52, 5:38, 5:51)(5:40,6:00)(5:45)

Next jogged over to track as usual. Very tired my legs just felt shot. 200s were tough, tried to focus getting up on toes, but I was just tired. Jogged back to veale.

Tried to navigate all the Blue Bash set up! They better get some donations off this. Also pumped that Coach snagged the Hudsons poster with Links huge head on it. Anyways went down to lift. It was good the calf raises were tough... Bumped up in weights. Went back up to stretch after, roll L7, then down to Ice Bath, which felt great! Abs before dinner. Ill also do some leg hangs tonight to get fresh for Saturday.

A ton of high crunches.
