TXU Energy Turkey Trot

Best Buy Parking Lot, Post Oak to Ambassador Way and back
6:30AM. Arrived a little earlier than I wanted which was ok, simple out and back from the car for a warmup drills, tents outside Best Buy for Black Friday already, jogged back for a pit stop and then to the start line, ran into my friend Chris, talked briefly about electric cars.

TXU Energy Turkey Trot
Started out too far back from the start line, spent most of the first mile weaving my way through traffic, not a bad thing since at the marathon, I will likely have to start far back from the start line, felt pretty good, first mile was 6:28, second was 11:28, first 5k was 17:26, only passed one person and was passed by one person after the halfway point, glad to see my parents cheering, ran into a member of the SJ team and my friend Chris, didn't really have a kick, finish snuck up on me, hard to kick when you have only one person to outkick, 9th overall, 4th M 20-24, gun time: 33:56.
