Hill Circuits Episode I: Quest to find the MV Library

Well, of course, it took me quite a bit of time to actually get to the starting point by car, seeing as one of the roads was closed and many of the others are one-way and I kind of suck at directions! Anyway, once I started running, I took it out pretty relaxed and picked it up towards the end. We accidentally went down Scott on the way up, so that added on maybe .2 mi or so but we remembered not to do it on the way back. I felt really great on the second half - almost too good, so I'm going to experiment with running the hill circuits different ways this summer since we're doing them once a week. I'll definitely take it out much harder next time and try to run hard consistently and not just push it on the last few hills - I think I could take the hills much faster next time in general. I was a little afraid to pull an Ostrowski on the down hills because they're pretty steep and sometimes uneven. This time it was only me, Gomez and a rising sophomore from Miami U of Ohio who runs marathons (she doesn't run XC at college). Then Matt Riley joined us for a cookout at Sherry's!
