I was dreading running my long run for the last 3-4 days since I've been sore and seem to be struggling with everything. I was also dreading how cold I'd be, but as soon as I started, I realized I chose the right day weather-wise because it wasn't windy for once. Paul was struggling to breath because of his allergies, so I needed to go really slow while I was with him. Perhaps that was a good thing because it might have allowed my legs to loosen up some. The footing was pretty bad, so I had my watch running to guesstimate distance more than anything else since I was aware we were probably well over 8:00 for parts of it. I guessed a little too slow, so I ended up with an extra mile. I was extraordinarily sore the last three or so miles of this. It's probably some combination of the cold weather, my fatigue from increasing mileage, and being running for such a long time. This seemed to drag on and on toward the end.
