This was my first workout with the team since March 18, and only my second one since last year on MLK Day. The third to last dates back to November of 2010, so it's been awhile since I've been around.

The workout itself was supposed to be effort-based, so I made the decision right from the start not to time it at all because I knew if things went poorly, the watch would only depress me and if this went well, knowing the times wouldn't matter a whole lot to me anyway. I decided to just try and stay with the group. I ran with Chris Kelly, Ethan, Chris Wade, and Dave Dixon for the entire workout and also with Corey Williams for part of it.

The pace felt surprisingly relaxed and I was pleased to find this workout not too terribly difficult. I was somewhat worried coming in that it would be a total disaster and it wasn't. This wasn't much of a measuring stick really since it was not supposed to be that challenging, but I didn't totally bomb so that's good. Perhaps I have a little fire left in me for this season.

We were supposed to do a lifting session afterward with a ton of hopping and jumping, but my ankle was still sore from yesterday, so I told Coach and she had me doing some band stuff instead. I've been icing it a lot, so hopefully it goes away and doesn't turn into anything major.
