Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Ran to MLK, just a mile for the warmup. Drills in the parking lot.
Workout was 15 on, 3 minute jog, 10, 2 jog, 5. Got just over 2.5 on the 15, but my stomach started bugging me toward the end of it, so I consciously slowed it down for the 10 and the 5. Got a little past Gandhi, maybe 200m on the 10, and then on the 5 I was pretty slow, maybe only 1200m. Still not terrible by any means, although HR was 180 at the end, but that's not really any different than it was through the entirety of cross.
Ran to the track, was supposed to do 2x400 at 5k goal pace, but made a pit stop at Wade instead. I would've liked to have done those just to see how they felt, but it happens. Finished back to Veale from Wade, then Lift Day 1 on the track. That went pretty well I felt, my legs were tired on the box step-ups. Static 1, rolling, Ibis x 42, ice in the locker room. My ankle/heel are still pretty sore, may get some ultrasound on it in the next couple of days.
Coach agreed to let me run a mile this weekend.
