February 28, 2009 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Bike
Weather: 30s-40s, overcast but OK
Comments:
Woke up at 0600, did some "online errands", then left for the ride at 0930.
I did the same ride as six weeks ago: Willamette trail + Chambers + Lorane/Fox Hollow -- a 40-miler.
With similar conditions (slightly warmer but more damp), I felt a MILLION TIMES BETTER. I felt great, in fact. With the exception of the mega-climb up Chambers, I felt terrific the whole way, including the last several flat miles in town back to the house. No bonking this time!
The lone excitement was me swerving into a car climbing up Fox Hollow, then discovering I had a flat front tire. AGAIN. It was a true flat, so I need to get new tires -- plain and simple. I changed it successfully and made it back in one piece.
Did circuits afterwards, had a Black Butte, and gonna relax the rest of the afternoon.
