I was finally feeling mostly normal today after three days since running the speedwork. My hamstring was still a little sore but it was only noticeable on the striders and not on the run. Dave and I ran a little quicker today than I have been and certainly a lot quicker than I ran on Tuesday in my somewhat disastrous run. We talked about the upcoming meet and the two things in the title. Back in Veale, I tried out my spikes for a few striders to try and get the feel right before Saturday. My hamstring was noticeably sore when I did those but fine for the rest of the run.
This was also the "meltdown" day for my stomach because I figued if Mexican food the last couple nights has been unable to cure my issues, a healthy dosage of laxatives might. This was probably part of the reason I needed to make a dash for the woods on the way back just after we crossed Lee. Aside from that, my stomach itself was feeling a lot better today and I had no nausea or cramping.
