Hardesty + Sawtooth

February 3, 2012 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
First long run since Bandera - felt some gut rot and fatigue on the climb up Hardesty. Maybe 10-12 downed logs on that trail; stopped once for a bottle fill in a creek. Still split about 67 min for the climb, which is decent.

Rested a bit up there and thought about bailing, but gave the stomach some time to settle and went easy. Took the connector over (3-4 logs), then straight down Sawtooth. Focused on keeping it REALLY EASY; it felt great!

Wound up taking only a single gel and no salt on the 3-hr run, and no bonk! Very cool.

Some R ab soreness and R hip; then realized I've been short of LEFT PD - which is making the R flexion pattern over-worked. Improved over the lats 1.5hrs once I worked on that.

Post-Run: TONS of gut-rot; I think from pollen.
