Woke up this morning feeling OK so I figured I'd do a light RF loop. Felt fine but TIRED.
Lifted and did circuits afterwards, then spent the rest of the day helping out mom, prepping for Pico's grad bash.
Once everything got done, I decided to roll on my new bike. It was very nice in the afternoon -- 70F and breezy -- so I had to get out before his bash started.
Rode the old east-west loop. Rode into the wind on the way out. At first it was OK but it got progressively tougher, especially when I lost any wind break out in the country.
About 20min into the ride, I noticed my handlebars started loosening. At first they were a bit offset, but when I stopped to piss halfway, I noticed I could jerk them sideways without turning the wheel! Double-turds!
The ride back was better, with the wind, though my handlebars got more and more loose. By the time I got to the downhill into town, I was nervous to even try turning them. I made it into town, but when I stopped at main street, that braking caused them to come super-loose, so I had to run home with the bike.
Once I got home it took me and BOOTS to figure out that the fork had turned 180 degrees in the tussle. Got that fixed up then cleaned up for the bash.
GOOD BASH. Not super nutty, but amazing food and good to see a nice crowd show up for a Memorial day weekend bash.
