Our workout today was our "tempo" for the week but it was basically an easier fartlek. 3k goal tempo pace comes out to about 5:10 for me, but since we were only doing 2:00 intervals we couldn't tell anyway. I ran with Chris, David, Wyatt, and Corey and did reasonably well though it wasn't the type of workout where one struggles to make it through. The 400s went pretty well though it was a war to go out out at 5k pace more than anything else because going out too fast screws up an accelerative interval. I am somewhat surprised I could actually run a 31 without truly sprinting.

I came into this somewhat worried about my newfound plantar fasciitis but it didn't bother me much during the workout. I couldn't do the second set of burpee-to-box-step-up since that inflamed it some the first time. I had some lingering effects of my cold that bothered me during the "tempo" section of this but it wasn't too bad.
