walked around landon with emma for a while. i think she was the perfect person for me to talk to today. i hadn't been willing to think of it as an option, but she helped me open some doors.
so when i left to go back home, i opened my arms and let my feet start at a natural pace.
i let myself realize what i really wanted. i let myself realize that what i really wanted, needed, was to do what scared the hell outta me. what i really needed was to do what was me. what was really me. no matter how much it scared me.
and so i let gravity steer my down the downhill. my form kicked in instinctively - my stride lengthening into full efficiency, my arms swinging in opposition, pulling my back up, and my eyes to focus ahead. confidence began to flow back through me - the warmth, the life - and i swear i felt a smile twitch at the corners of my mouth. balance was restored.
i know what i want. i know what i need. what i need to do.
