Fort Lee and Fort Washington

February 26, 2012 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 45 Sunny/Windy

Comments:
1. Armory over George Washington Bridge to Palisades Park, around the park some, and back (with Phil)
2. Armory up Ft. Washington to its summit to W 190th, and back (alone)

I went out with Phil for his cooldown and my run after the mile. We went pretty slow and took in the incredible views from the bridge (now during daylight) and the cliff we ran along on the New Jersey side. On the way back to the Armory, we met Drew who was warming up for the 4x400 and he informed Phil that he was also running it.

Phil and I came back to watch the 3ks and I went back out after that to get in a couple more miles because I have been lacking mileage this week. I ran up to the highest point in Manhattan, the site of the Revolutionary Fort Washington. I later learned that the Palisades Park is on the site of the Revolutionary War Fort Lee so I ran to both sites today.
