Coach had us doing quarters on 30 seconds rest until we couldn't make the time anymore. I was grouped with Corey and Nate Mercer. I spent the early ones in the outside part of lane 1 but managed to get through the first 7-8 without much trouble. Mercer stopped after 8 so it was just Corey and I. At some point about halfway, Corey relinquished the inside for me. I found myself beginning to fall back off of him around 11-12 and Coach Juergens informed me I needed to drive my knee up more and Coach Lanese said I start to get choppy when I'm tired. This advice kept me going for a couple as I started scraping by with 75s. I thought the end was getting imminent around number 13. But somehow I managed to hang on. At one point I had to sprint the last 20 meters as Coach Juergens called out our times to barely make it in 75. I felt as though I couldn't run any faster but did get some 73s and 74s in there too. I was sure about six different times that the interval I was on would be my last. As we started number 20, Coach Lanese told Corey and I that it would be our last no matter what, and I managed to finish driving on my toes in 70. Corey looked really good and was finishing them pretty comfortably under the cut-off. We cooled down back to Veale and I stretched pretty quick, did the Ace, and left to head to Wisconsin at 4am tomorrow morning.
