Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
warmed up 2 miles to the outdoor track, but the baseball team was doing stuff on it, so we drilled, and they still had a few minutes of their time left, so we did another mile of warmup. then did a couple of run outs in my flats and was ready to go. the workout was 400's until failure, at goal 5k pace. coach told me i should do 72-74's. me mercer and tim were a group. mercer did 8(?) with us, and tim did all 20 with me. after 19, i was still feeling like i could keep going but coach told us she was having us just do 1 more. (i feel like tim and i beat the workout!) so i just sped that one up, to a pretty quick pace, and focused on keeping my form throughout, like it was a kick, because from the video of my mile at bw, i noticed my form gets real ugly during my finish, and i could probably be more efficient with that. my watch also doesn't save splits after 30, so i'm just going off of what coach juergens was yelling as i finished for the last few. i felt pretty darn good during this workout. i feel like i could have kept up the pace at least a few more more, but was reaching the point where i was getting tired. when i finished coach told me that my mile from two fridays ago and this have given me my confidence back, and i know it has. its a big step for me, as before today i was wondering whether or not i still wanted to try a 10k, and this definitely assures me i can do it. it feels good to be back. i feel like me again. very happy with this workout.
