CD: 7 laps on indoor track, around NRV field and back (part with Mike Perisa)-
I met Coach at the outdoor track at 9am this morning to get the workout in before leaving for Boston and she decided the wind was so horrible there was no point in running the mile repeats outside. Back in Veale, I jogged half a mile, did the Medium, and started off the workout. 5:10 pace is slow enough that I was able to stay smooth without leaving my comfort zone for about the first 1000 of each interval. Mile repeats is longer than I am used to doing since most of our workouts this season have been very short and fast, but it went pretty well. I was able to kick somewhat on the last mile. Coach was happy with me because I fell off a little in the middle of the second mile and pulled myself together to finish it on pace. I guess it just isn't that hard to drop a 37s lap.
I came in initially somewhat concerned about my achilles but it felt perfectly fine once I got started.
