On/off 200s!

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Jog to AU, drills etc, then split into groups. Was the only one doing the 200s, so set off for a mile and a half around the track. Few more drills after and set off for the 200s. Targets were 55 for pickup and 65 for not pickup. Started out the first 3 laps from 51-53 and not pickup 60-62. Didn't really feel all that hard, was told to try to keep it to target paces for the next couple laps. Felt almost harder to deliberately slow down then to keep on. I think the 6th lap went 56 for the "pickup" but that was the only time was over a target time, but everything else was under. Aleck joined on for the last 2 laps which was so so helpful and everything got faster again once he joined. The the hardest part was the the definitely the deliberate change in pace from the "recovery" to the pickup, and the pace change seemed harder than the pace itself (if that makes any sense...). Definitely not the way to pace a 2 mile...all in all a good workout, quite content! Not quite sure on time
