More bus riding today, and we could all feel it! Finally got into florida to the track and the facility. Its not what I expected, kinda a silly track. Also, running around it isnt that great. Winthrop was nicer... Anyways we changed, got in a good warmup around the rim of the pit that the track was in. Dropped down, got in some drills and then went to do the workout.
It was 4xmile at tempo, with like 1-2 min rest. I didnt know what to expect ovbiously, havnt done much in the sense of workouts. Just went with it really. Kinda alone for the first 2, then with COrey the second two. Times were 5:33, 5:34, 5:30, 5:50. So for the last one, siked myself out. Didnt think I was going to do it, then actually did, died on the 3rd lap and coasted in underperformaning. It was my own fault, I accept it, and am moving on from it. Made it up in the 3 400s we had after, 73, 73, 77. Those felt much better, wasnt straining.
Quick cool down without the brace, then stretch roll and L7 before heading out. Still dont know what to do tomorrow. I think I might run just a little, then try to xtrain? Saturday looks out of the picture, because Sunday would be a good day to long run, shake out the bus ride...
Happy to be back at workouts. This was more than I could have asked for :). Also, the houses (villas) are so LEGIT!!! Also, got into UMass, and decided that it would be the best place this summer. I am excited, and happy I made a decision...
