Really good day! Ran to Sidwell, lap warmup then drills and stretch. Waited around awhile to start warming up. Feel kind of bad because I overestimated how quickly the meet would go and told the guys probably start during the 800s but went a lot slower than I thought so we had a bit of time. Anyways, started out a bit quicker than anticipated, but didnt seem to do too much harm. Was in the back for first 3 laps but then other started to fade a lot and kept with a Sidwell girl until the 6th lap, made a move and maintained for a lap, but she had more I guess (or I should've gone earlier). Quite happy with the 20 second pr (especially with shoe-untied...right foot is a big blister now yaay). Back sore, but not as bad as anticipated. Also REALLY need to get back to not running on the toes. Form changed after I changed back into vomeros, and its bad. Calves will be shot for a few days, will try compression socks to see if it helps. Billy said to be concious to try to change form during the race and it makes perfect sense, but I'd be worried to do that in case the change in foot placement causes me to slow down. Will try to work on it in trainers in steady runs and workouts. Really good good day all around, and so excited for the rest of the season! (ran back to school too)
