Early Morning: New route.

Weather: Cold but clear

Comments:
Moved onto Week 9 of Cto5K this morning. Running, for the second time, the new route around the major roads. There is a nice gentle slope along the back straight that is proving good for my legs and lungs! This makes the whole route a bit more challenging.
Felt very stiff and sore (particularly in the lower back) for the first k or so. I may need to look at incorporating a more rigourous warm up into my training as it seems to go away after a bit. I also don't feel uncomfortable during the day so I think it has something to do with simply jumping out of bed and getting moving. I'll try a warm-up of sorts tomorrow am. I could also look at doing some stretching after my runs - the difficulty being that this means more time and therefore an earlier start. 5am is already pretty early :)
