Exercise Type: Run

So happy!!!! Was doubting a little bit right before, didnt feel warm because of the timing, felt pretty tired, but all that went away when the race started. I think around 6 girls in the race, Alessa and Marisa from GDS. So, the whole girls pack went out together in the beginning. Usually, first lap is fast because of adrenaline, and then I feel it after. Instead of staying with them (because I knew I wouldn't be sticking with Marisa..) I stayed a few meters back and went through in 1:42. Set myself up so like a 1:36 wouldn't throw me like the other 2 madeira who I then passed on the 2nd lap and kept opening up. 800 in 3:30, wasn't straining and felt very very much in control and that I could keep this pace. eyes on stoneridge girl. Mile in 7:05. Not sure about the rest of the splits, but only slowed by 3 seconds! Anthony said to pass the girl with 3 to go even though there was a substantial gap, but trusted and pushed and passed on the home straightaway with 2 to go, and kept widening the gap. 2 mile in ~14:13 (heard 2 different times). A bit confused when they called out times at finish line, wasn't sure if it was for me or not haha. 25 second PR, I'll take it! I felt like my mind was really in control during the race, never faded out or doubted kind of thing. Form felt awesome as well! Shoulders hurt, but form and foot placement felt so good, and I was able to really get up on the toes (and I think Saturday really helped with getting used to the flats going fast!). We went 1,2,3 yaaay! So excited, feeling even more coming soon, but I'm very very happy about today! PENN TOMORROW AHHH!
