Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
The plan was to try to be in the 14:40's but it didn't materialize that well. The meet wasn't very organized and I didn't know what heat I was in until 10 minutes before the 5k started. I got put in the 2nd heat, seeded number 3. That basically meant that two other people had run faster than 15:05, so I knew the race wasn't going to be a fast one like I wanted.
So on to the race. Lined up and gun fired. Got shuffled to back of pack but quickly moved up to about 5th within 300m. Came through 400 at about 73. So the pace was definitely slow. Kept hitting those kind of times for the first mile, came through in 4:48. Much slower than i wanted. two mile in 9:36. was third most of the race. finished with a good kick. last lap of 64-65 or something.
