I feel pretty foolish. Food got way off during Penn, and it was horrible horrible terrible preparation for the race (and I took almost no initiative to make anything better even though I knew it was some shit). I was told that today may be flatter than Tuesday (just because tuesday felt so good), but wasn't thinking about that or letting it affect mentally. Foot flared up 4 minutes before the race, had to run over and wrap it. Anyways, first lap 1:36, probably could have run that more even, but it's ok to try to stay in contact. 800 3:20, a lot slower. Mile in 6:57 (jokes...trying to break 7 all of last year...). Middle of 5th lap foot got worse, could feel the rip getting bigger and more whatnot pulling off and burning more. Head started to get iffy as well by the middle of the 6th lap and was bad by the end. Ended in 14:21. Foot hurt a lot, but I'm used to that kind of pain because my feet suck, so that wasn't it. Maybe part of it, but not it. Felt flat, felt foolish. Never thrown up after a race, got it twice today, stomach is really funked up now. I guess if I'm running this on a bad day, a good day will be good. A bit bummed, but will get back up. Day off tomorrow even though I really dont want one, havent taken one completely off in 5 weeks now. So so so happy for other people though, I can't believe how strong this team is right now!!
