low-key prep meet

May 1, 2012 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: hot but not too sunny - my kinda weather. mid 80s partly cloudy.

Comments:
another mehh race. i guess i can't be too upset with my race. but i not all that happy either. on the upside - had this been freshman year, i'm pretty sure i would have hidden on the golf course until me race was over...so at least i can say i ran.
i ran smart. great. another "smart" race. but i guess there's something to be said for that. i got all the cards - now i'm just waiting for it to happen - the breakthru...that i thought would happen at draper...i guess i'll settle for championships or time trials - cauz those're my only 2 chances left.
started my kick early - at the 150 again. wuda been the perfect finish had i not completely given up in the last 50 meters. i just had no drive, no incentive, to finish that race. i completely gave up. didn't even have the competition of the girl infront of me on my mind. i was just lost. done. too early.
i think i ran a 2:50? so not awful i guess. considering the lack of motivation i couldn't have expected anything better. at least there wasn't any1 (hardly 6 gdsers) to rly witness the heaviness of yet another dissapointment - so it was easier to get over it quickly, brush it off my shoulder.

i ran my race. i tried hard. i reflected on it.
now its over. time to move on. there's life ahead of me and no reason to dwell on the past.
time to continue with my routines. back on my 10-hr sleep cycle (tho still tired - guess the bad dreams aren't helping), doing my homework, trying not to be bored all the time. but hey, it could always be worse.
