Comments:
Got back from Yachats, stopped at home quick, then went for the "long" run. Wore x2 pairs of compression socks + some fibular taping.
I took x4 profens around noon, then another 4 at 5 before I left. NOT a good idea.
Ran very easy with Britt on the Rexius before she fell back at the turnaround. Felt NOTHING on that loop, then climbed Powerline to do what I did Friday (baldy, Dillard, Ridgeline). Felt excellent except gut rot! Stopped to deuce on lower Dillard. Ran Ridgeline to North face, which I then powerhiked. It was sore in my calves from the 2x socks, and I felt some "pressure" in the front of my ankle/shin. Ran down from the top of Spencer (nice day!), to the portajohn, then down Willamette and back on Ridgeline.
Felt pretty damn good until the descent down Headwaters. halfway down I got a few sharp stabs that made me need to walk a bit, before jogging down.
Post-run: I knew I'd over done it; it didn't feel terrible walking around, but late Sunday night/overnight, when the profen wore off, it got really sore.
Also, the GUT ROT. Just AWFUL. The worst ever! I was up moaning/pooping on and off all night 'til around 2 or 3. No more profen!!
Overall, I was happy with the run; however, I just hope I didn't take a step back.
