Hardesty Wednesday - FULL TILT! :)

May 9, 2012 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Really energetic going to Hardesty tonight, dunno why. Did some singing on the way, including some Real McCoy/Run Away.

The run up went GREAT -- felt really strong. The shin I could barely feel - felt nothing 'til the "mile 2 or 3", then it was only light tightness.

Was climbing really good and strong -- splits were good early. Wound up splitting 57:50, which is a PR. Helped they cleared all the trees...except the big one at the very top!

On the way down: not great. Pretty immediate pain that got really sharp in the first mile. Had to stop and walk a couple times. By the time I got down to the "3", it was bad. So I relaxed, focused on the high recovery. ALSO: I thought about what would "inhibit" the tib ant: peroneals! I focused on eversion + PF on my landing....

...and the pain disappeared! NO pain the rest of the way! Literally nothing 'tli the last half-mile,when it was mildly tight - as good as before! So weird and cool! I think it might've been a "hard remodeling" -- pulling lose cross-linkages or something...

That night: very little soreness. Iced.
