Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Went on a run with Elisa (!), Julia, Emma, Kate and Marisa around Holton and the neighborhood. Not as stiff as before, even though it was still really short. Great day and really great way to start off championships. 5 hard strides at the end. Greg (friend from Kenya) sent this to me tonight, seems kind of appropriate
"There comes a time when its not time to race conservatively, but time to start out from the line at a pace that makes you think "I can't run this fast". You think you can't, and your body tells you you can't, but there will be a person, just a few steps ahead who pulls you along. Don't run your race at your pace, run at a pace faster. Its going to hurt, it always does. But you have to think when you step on that line-I am going to run this pace, no matter what it takes"
So excited. Get ready for a whopper of a log tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a good one.
