Watching Oxy last night made me really want to get training again. This next week is gonna suck not running. Its good I feel that way. Means I'm ready to go when its time to. I've got 9 years of experience its time to use it.
Also the qualifying window for Nationals ended yesterday so I went and checked some stuff out. Everything is faster than last year except the 1500 which is slower by 3 tenths of a second. The middle distances are pretty similar but the long distances are what is killer. The 5k is 5 seconds faster with 2 sub 14's! The 10k is 17 seconds faster with 10 sub 30's! So improvement but the steeple takes the cake. 9:08 did not make it this year. They took 9:15 last year. To make it this year you needed to run a time that was top 8 in the country last year! Things are crazy!
This kinda made me feel okay though cuz I don't feel as dissapointed missing Monday's race because while I thought 10-12 seconds was possible I don't know how 20 seconds would have been.
