Track 2012 Retrospective

May 21, 2012 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Other

Comments:
Not really the year I was looking for. Looking at my goals coming out of cross I wanted the following:
1. Stay injury free. Check.
2. Focus, no more procrastinating. Nope. Failed entirely at this one and I'm already paying for it.
3. 4:30 mile or equivalent in the 1500. Nope. Although by the time we got to Marv Frye, I was happy to run a 4:30 1500.
4. Contribute to the team effort. Didn't really help much here either. This past semester I feel like I was pretty self-centered and didn't help us as a whole very much.

1/4. Not really a great season any way you cut it. It had some highlights though. The biggest would be the trip to Florida. The next would be Marv Frye were I realized in the van on the way that it was my day and I was going to do well. The last would be watching the team at outdoor UAA's, which was pretty awesome. I had fun this semester but I need to focus on self-improvement and helping others rather than piss away time to the point where I take instead of give.

Oh, and the biggest difference for me from last year to this year was that a lot more people I know were graduating. Congrats to those who did that this weekend. Also, I'm glad so many of you guys are sticking around Case and Cleveland a little while longer.
