Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
First off Ill say wow... It was kinda chilly and cloudy/rainy when I went out, but the temp turned out to be really nice. Headed back up to investigate North Amherst a little more. I thought it might have a bit more than what I saw on the weekend. Ran up Pleasant again and up to Pulpit hill. This time, kept going up, which turned into a hilly dirt road. Really nice. I mapped it before but didnt expect the hill to be so steep... I started to notice trail heads on the road. They are all over the place! I dont know where they go, but thats for me to find out. Hopefully can add on some good distance in there. Came back on State street. The coolest trail head was called the Robert Frost Trail. It had a sign on it that said "Reservoir 1.8 mi, some forest 20 mi"! Holy shit if that crushed limestone trail went on for 20 miles, it would be so legit... Missed the turn on State so I had to back track. Back down Summer St, past the speedometer (I picked it up a little and it read me at 10 mph, or 6:00 min/mile). Back to the dorm as the rain started. Legs felt a little chunky in the beginning... actually I felt chunky on most of the run. Still looking to be upright and peppy. I bet Im gonna kick this fat off this summer though. Felt really good at the end.
Essentials: Stretch, Hips, L7, Abs, roll, hammies
Back down to the school to stretch. So nice down there, even if it is haunted. Back up to roll and rope hammy in my room. Actually ran into Kevin and Molly at the elevator. Turns out they are starting to get into training again. Both are below 30 mile/week now, but I can run the beginning parts with them. I think that should work :) Kevin is really fast, and Molly went to nats, so I hope I can keep up...
