Towpath Long

June 23, 2012 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: Light breeze, warm but not uncomfortable

Comments:
My sister biked along with me on this one which helped significantly. We talked some, she brought some water along, and helped me keep my pace up just by being on a bike. Saw a few other runners. Got a few "hi"s, nods, and waves but also quite a few people not interested in saying hello and a few with headphones in as well. Saw several turtles sunning themselves on logs AND a baby chipmunk which scampered off the path just a few feet ahead of me.

Ran to the Delaware and Raritan Canal Towpath via Rt. 518 and made a right towards Princeton. Went about 6 minutes past Alexander Road and turned around. I estimated on distance beyond that at 8 minute pace. My legs/hips were definitely getting tired by the end of this but the weather was nice and it was cooler when running by Carnegie Lake (I think that's what it's called). Anyway, nice to have it done.

Light stretch.
