Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Of course I didnt check the weather before I left. It was kinda sunny, but it soon started to storm as I got going. Didnt really have a plan set out on where to go. Since I am just getting back into running, I was shooting for 4 miles. It was a good opportunity to look at the area we cut through yesterday. Headed back on the access rd and just wandered around the paths and trails. Pleasant, not a lot of space but its is fun to run on. As I popped back out in the field, the lightning and thunder started, and I didnt really want to get struck, so I darted back into the woods. Crossed the street and wound around the paths in Orchard Hill. Same deal, I got really lost. There were tons of little animals all over the place. Chipmunks, squirrels, and rabbits. I tried to ask one of them for directions, but they ran away from me :( Cut back down the hill and did a small loop on campus. Felt decent. Didnt really feel used to running alone, but I took it at an easier pace. Shin was ok achy at times. I am officially diagnosing it as shin splints, and just got to deal with it as it comes. So its getting a little better, but I can still feel the aches.
Essentials: Stretch, L7, hips, roll, Ice
Did my 300 right when I got back, in the rain and thunder. Didnt give a single fuck. Then the sun came out and I stretched very well. Back up to roll and ice. Looking for a good night sleep tonight to recover since I was up way to late last night. Then Ill look for a longer run tomorrow, and try to get back to a 6 day week.
