I usually dont log runs this late... but something came up. More on that later. Kevin and I set out in the afternoon to do a longer run. I was looking for 6. We headed down to Amherst College through town. Shin was kinda achy at that point, not feeling great. He said that he found the other part of the trails when he was skating and wandering the train track. He lead onto the "Sanctuary trail" Felt a little better on the trails. WE did a odd loop and popped out on the bike path. Coming back started feel better. A bug flew in my eye and we paused so I could try to get it out. Ran back via University. Ehh shin was sore at that point. So overall a decent run. I guess I can go 7 now, but it was a stretch on the comfortable scale.
Essentials: Stretch
Seriously lacking the essentials today. Went to wash my eye out when we got back, then I just stretched outside with Kevin. My eye was still bothering me after that. I couldnt get the bug out. Went up to my room, was gonna roll and L7 and abs, but I wanted to clean my eye first. So... spend the next 2 hours trying to get it, it still felt irritated. When my roommate Matt came home, I got him to take me down to Urgent Care, which obviuosly isnt Urgent enough, since it was closed. Fuck so we hit the road and went to the emergency room. Yea spent my entire night there (Around 5 hours) getting my eye checked out. Doc didnt see the bug, I must have obliterated it or gotten it out with all my rubbing, but it scratched my eye. Still irritated a little, got to go see health services tomorrow if its still bugging me. Scratched eyes take a few days to work themselves through. It doesnt hurt and I can see fine, it just feels irritated near the edge... So yea that sums up my sub par afternoon. The only cool thing was that I got Novacain for my eye, which made it go all numb and shit. Also got this weird dye that made my vision all green for a little bit.
IDK what im gonna do tomorrow. Depends on how my eye is feeling, might just go the the gym for a little, then run on Tues. Kinda feel out of it after being at the hospital. I harnessed all my patience and used it effectively I would say.
