Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Chilly and cloudy after work today. Felt good after yesterday, thought it would carry into the run. It did kinda. Started out going up past Sylvan to the Backwoods loop. After making it back to the parking lot went up Pleasant and through the North Apartments and to the Access rd. Cut through campus to Orchard Hill, took the connector, then did the Backwoods loop again. Pretty much the whole time, my shin was very very tight. Not sore or achy, tight, like it would feel on my longs runs after a race day. Is that more characteristic of shin splints? IDK, but I could run through it, it was just very awkard and did not feel good. The sleeve didnt seem to help all that much today. Urgh this is gonna be something I am going to have to battle with all summer. Classic. Felt upright and good form otherwise I would say.
Essentials: Stretch, L7, ankle walks, abs, roll, ice
At least I am keeping up with the Essentials. Came at the school from the other direction which was cool. Good stretch and such. Shin is feeling tight afterward, gonna roll it and massage and ice it throughout the night.
Day to day, I will see how this week will go. Its tough, but my only choice that I would ever choose is to push through. I am obiously not hitting mileage I want to hit, or think I could ideally hit. Shit happens though... Dont count me in, and dont count me out this season.
