Weather: rainy at first, but then fairly nice (60F)

Comments:
Did my first bonafide workout since 2/12 today. I've decided to add some AT runs to my schedule this summer, especially since there's no better place than the marked/measured woodchip trails of Eugene to do them.

Ran to the adidas loop for 2x mile. Really focused on good form and "diaphragmatic breathing", which is essentially trying to inflate your whole lungs; too often runners take tiny breaths, thus only using the upper ends of the lungs to deliver o2.

The AT went great. Despite being overdressed (it was raining when I left so I had on a jacket and gloves) AND having to grind BAD in the 2nd mile, I split a 5:47 and 5:36. Kept the breathing deep and "relaxed" rhythm. Ran straight home. Great workout!!!
