Old West End Long Run-

I waited until evening to run this because I wanted a little cooler weather for my long run. That decision paid off; I had wonderful running conditions, complete with a nice cool breeze coming off the lake. However, I had stomach problems for much of the run and made a couple bathroom stops first in the port-a-potty in Washington Park on the way out and at Jackson Street Pier of the way back. My digestive system never really felt 'right' but never got so bad I felt I couldn't go on. Toward the end it started to feel better and I picked up the last three miles a bit to ~6:40 pace. It actually turned out to be a pretty good run.

I saw two dudes groping each other kissing in the middle of the sidewalk downtown on the way out. That's not something I expect to see in a small rust belt town like Sandusky, maybe in Cleveland or Columbus, but not Sandusky; I guess the world's changed. I just sort of shrugged and kept on running. I guess I'm slowly becoming numb to everything.
