Exercise Type: Run

Well, I was going to long run today, around 13, but I made a change of plans. Kevin and I headed out up North in the afternoon. I was concerned about my Achilles, it still felt tight today. I can believe it, as I was jumping up this week, and I doubled. Its just the body adjusting. As we were running, I could for sure feel the tightness, so I decided to cut it short. Its not terrible, but it doesnt feel right. It isnt even August yet, so I am playing it smart. I would have liked to get in a good long run today, but I got to run a little at least. Basically went out to Puffers and turned around. Everything else felt great though. Shins dont hurt in the beginning at all, and I feel like my training pace is pretty easy now. I think this new training plan is working, the best way to check is to make it work in October.
Essentials: Stretch, L7, hips, abs, some pull ups, roll, ice
It wasnt raining out today, so I could take my time at the school. Good stretch, it is hard to stretch the tight part of my heel... anyways did a few pull ups today before heading in.
I think I will xtrain the next two days until the Achilles is better. I am getting old... It is hard to hit 50 mpw now. It is just so hard for me to have consistent training. This is a good sign though, it has been a while since I got one of these things that throws me off. I may never get to see myself perform at the top with perfect training, but I just as much would rather see myself do my best with what I have.
