(Eastern+Cayuga) Heights

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Distribute again. Night run, back in Ithaca. Drove most of the day, and my legs are pretty sore. It was so hot out today, I had to wait until night time. Drove down to the Cornell track and did a large loop around. Started out going on the Bike path to Honess. Came back pine tree, down Mitchell to Cornell st. Through campus down the slope over to Cayuga hts rd. Up hanshaw, past Cayuga Heights to Tripphammer. Tripphammer past jessup across thurston up east and cut across Weill hall back to the track. Kinda split up into two neighborhoods. Its nice to be back. The run felt awful though. Shins and lower legs were locked up from the beginning. Felt a little better in the middle but as I was coming back through campus, just felt really tired and my legs were beat. I need an Ice bath sometime... Still, nice to run on my old routes. You know your back in Ithaca when you run through a huge plume of marijuana smoke, and you keep going like nothing is wrong.

Essentials: Stretch, L7, ankles, roll

Did barefoot striders on the soccer field, which felt amazing. Got the sluggishness out of my legs. Then I stretched as it got dark out. Andris ran by. I always seem to meet him at the track after I am done. We chatted, he switched down to DIII this year, and is going to dominate everyone, especially in the south region lol. Legs still feeling tired after. Look to hit up some trails and soft surfaces soon.
