RFHS Track Workout

Weather: 55F, very slight breeze

Comments:
Woke up with only enough time to do a circuit before heading to NR to spend the day with Evan. We had a pretty good time, building stuff with Legos and tooling around outside. I even changed a diaper for the first time in about 15 years!

Didn't get home 'til after 2, and didn't hit the track 'til after 2:30. Did my warm-up on campus and -- no shit -- I got SWOOPED by the gd CROW!!! I thought that thing died like 4 years ago, but I guess not! I got double-swooped returning from the warm-up and again on my way out on the cool-down.

Despite my 45-mile ride yesterday (and overall fatigue), the track session went REALLY WELL: 2x(3x400, 100jog), 400 jog; 3x200 (200jog):

75.0, 74.4, 74.2; 73.8, 73.4, 73.3; 32.7, 32.2, 31.8

Only 30s recovery jog between the 400s, so it's not quite as embarrassing as it seems. SLOW, but not for long...

Really worked on my L leg "recovery" because I think my hips being stressed due to my leg "dragging" behind (e.g. lack of knee flexion of the trail leg). That felt OK, though by the end of the cooldown my L hamstring was feeling it.

Felt pretty damn good on the cooldown, doing the full campus loop. I kept a watchful eye on the Crow; he tried to swoop me but he never does when you're watching and I scared him off! :)

GREAT DAY. Things are beginning to come together...
