Castalia Quarry-

Instead of watching the Olympic 10k like a good distance runner would do, I went for a run in the middle of the afternoon on the (possibly) last hot day of summer. My left big toenail is feeling pretty much normal by now but I've managed to mess up a toe on my right foot by compensating, and now seem to be running with both feet flexed enough that the skin on the entire bottom of both of them feels like it's burning.

The first half or so of the run was pretty awful. It was hot, humid, my feet hurt, my vagina hurt, and on and on. But somehow, someway, all my frustration from this entire summer boiled up inside of me to form the most epic rant I have ever gone on for the last 3-4 miles of the run. Instead of depressing, it was therapeutic. I have no clue how fast or slow it was because I wasn't timing it. I was tearing up the skin on my feet but I couldn't feel it. I was consumed by it all and instead of internalizing, let it burst, let it rip, gave my metaphorical middle finger to the world, stuck it to the man, stuck it to the people sticking it to the man, lit into the world, and finished up to walk away, get in my car, and go home.

Of course basically none of its contents are remotely repeatable in any conceivable circumstances, so I have no idea why I'm even putting this in my log, but it felt awesome in such a way that it deserves to be noted.
